The new Huntington Pavilion at Huntington Hospital was an opportunity for the physicians to expand their practices and level of care for their patients. With well thought-out public areas and shared services, the departments have the added benefit for patients and staff of being adjacent to the hospital.
The Cancer Center was designed to have soft lighting, with a Craftsman aesthetic that emulates many of the area’s architecture. The Procedure Rooms have varied light effects and natural plants with “skylights”, creating a relaxed, natural setting.
The Breast Care Center was designed to sooth and relax. The finishes are high end, with curved walls, rich materials and varied waiting experiences.
This project was completed by one of the principals of Momentum Studio, interior designer Carol Cole, in conjunction with another firm.
